Stagnant

A person earning enough to cover for himself, the main essentials of securing a home through his home loan, a car maybe through hire purchase, his own clothing and meals. Besides that this person also earns enough for insurance wow.

But enough here means no more than that. Just to cover the essentials. But what about the indirect obligations? What about the parents? What about tax?

Now before we go too far, this person have no extra to spend. But in a culture that says bravo you're looking after yourself, this seems to be the right way.

This is where third world nations remain in them. People will continue be driven as low cost worker enough to cover for inflation, for them to afford a life of their own.

Consumerism will not grow. For they can not earn to spend, the economy will not shrink but merely stays afloat.

Thus we look at

Tough life

Malaysia, if I would say over the year created a gap, a disparity between earning and expenditure.

While no amount is enough for a person to squander, mere survival and essential is hard to sustain.

A job very well require you to have your car but it will cost you 1 to 2 times annual income. All this said to promote national car maker should have left us poorer.

Then it must be our weak currency. At an undervalued position, we are paying more for less. It's not logic to have re same thing but costs 2.4 times compared to our near neighbor. A correction will soon come in to fill the gap but no. The difference have only increased.

Then the flow of funds must have been disturbed. The supply and demand is not reaching it's equilibrium. Something cannot be expensive when it's widely available!

Then there must be policies and regulation that impede the natural order, just like how stones is set to prevent grasses from growing.

And in logical sense, we blame the government policies which have clearly not functioned as it was planned to. Or it did, just that the benefit wasn't meant to reach the people in the first place?

This disparity leaves Malaysian at high leverage ratio, with everyone in net liability to afford for car and house.

Despite the fact that Malaysia is practically funded by petroleum export ally with tax collection, our government too operate in an indebted position.

Once petroleum is dried and out, we will be for the first time be funding our government with tax payers money's.

Back to the point high above, increasing tax will only increase burden on the people. With their debt ratio, Malaysian will be affording less and less.

A risk of default then? With our weak currency, it is not surprising.

So going down and down this spiral, we shall not even touch about the cause of this but rather a solution must be found to fix this grim situation.

From what we know is, all this are not addressed nor have it received the attention it should.

Is it our habit to refuse to learn that have killed our future? Or is it our ignorance to reality that brought this to ourselves?

Renaissance

If you think about it, renaissance in a way is a complete overhaul of paradigm. Your perception to a matter, reaction and response itself is to be redesign from ground up, using your mind to see what is right or wrong.
So in a way this is a new creation process, a creative way of thinking.
Thus to be creative will unlock a whole new frontier. Whether to solve a problem or to remove the problem from root itself, rendered it invalid.
In this argument, renaissance itself is to be creative again, instead of being tied down to what have been accustomed or practiced.

From the eyes of mine

They say skin may be white and hair may be black, but the hearts are not so easy to put a verb on.

In view of one Malaysia spirit, every morning I go to work I have to overcome some most viscous traffic. I blame the lack of planning by our government. It's always easy to blame, to go against. For all that matter you just have to oppose.

Some made it worse by cutting queue. I don't know if they are born ignorant or intolerant, or just beastly.

Same goes for the bus and lrt.

Clearly, overcrowded is one of the issue. And base on what we have, I don't see this issue to be resolved anytime soon.

I have suggestions on how to improve. Does that make me eligible to contest as a representative of some political party?

Certainly better than some busy dissing out sexist remarks.

Vote for me! When I contest.
